X-Climb is X2 Festival’s climbing competition, organized by Sunnmørsk Klatreklubb, and is open to both youth and senior climbers. The event brings together strong competition, an inclusive atmosphere, and high-level climbing – both on the wall and in the crowd.

The competition features several demanding routes designed to test technique, strength, and endurance. Qualifications are held in a session format across three routes, where climbers earn points based on how far they progress.

The six best climbers in each class advance to the final, where one decisive route determines the results. In the final, points are awarded for each move and hold, with time used as a tiebreaker in the case of equal scores.

With classes for youth and seniors, women and men, and a solid competition setup provided by Sunnmørsk Klatreklubb, X-Climb is a key part of X2 Festivalen, delivering exciting climbing and true festival atmosphere.
